I use <a href=\"http:\/\/liferea.sourceforge.net\/\">Liferea<\/a> for my personal <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Aggregator\">feed reading<\/a> needs, but other OneTwenty members prefer to keep on top of news using their web browsers.<\/p>\n<p>I quickly put something up just to see if it gets used. If so, I might work on it a bit more in future (adding categories and probably using <a href=\"http:\/\/www.w3schools.com\/ajax\/default.asp\">AJAX<\/a> to make the page update without requiring a manual refresh). Maybe even a login so that people can add your own feeds. No point getting ahead of myself here though!<\/p>\n<p>Check it out here:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li><a href=\"http:\/\/feeds.onetwenty.org\">http:\/\/feeds.onetwenty.org<\/a><\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>It&#8217;s fairly different to a <a href=\"http:\/\/planet.gnome.org\/\">standard planet website<\/a>. I didn&#8217;t want to crowd the webpage with story details, so I went with a newspaper style 3 column layout. Rather than messing around with tables, I decided to use the <a href=\"http:\/\/developer.mozilla.org\/en\/docs\/CSS3_Columns\">CSS3 Columns<\/a> extension which only seems to be supported by browsers using the <a href=\"http:\/\/developer.mozilla.org\/en\/docs\/Gecko\">Gecko rendering engine<\/a> (eg. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.mozilla.org\/\">Mozilla<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.getfirefox.com\">Firefox<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.gnome.org\/projects\/epiphany\/\">Epiphany<\/a> amoung others).<\/p>\n<p>Under other browsers, it all appears in a single column. You can see screenshots of the sites as viewed under other browser (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.microsoft.com\/windows\/ie\/\">Internet Explorer<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.konqueror.org\/\">Konqueror<\/a>, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.opera.com\/\">Opera<\/a>, and <a href=\"http:\/\/www.apple.com\/safari\/\">Safari<\/a>) on <a href=\"http:\/\/browsershots.org\/website\/http:\/\/feeds.onetwenty.org\/\">browsershots.org<\/a> (a very handy service!).<\/p>\n<p><em>Please let me know if you find the new reader useful.
