So the question everyone probably wants answered is: &#8220;what happened in between!?&#8221;.<\/p>\n<p>Following guides such as (the very loud or excited) &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.usscatastrophe.com\/zettwoch\/silkscreen.html\">HOW TO SILKSCREEN!<\/a>&#8221; No Media Kings&#8217; &#8220;<a href=\"http:\/\/www.nomediakings.org\/doityourself\/howto_silkscreen_posters_and_shirts.html\">How to Silkscreen Posters and Shirts<\/a>&#8220;, we decided that we had to get ourselves some <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Photo_emulsion\">photo emulsion<\/a>. I won&#8217;t repeat the steps involved in using the emulsion here (as they are explained in both linked articles and in many <a href=\"http:\/\/www.reuels.com\/reuels\/page512.html#PEM\">other<\/a> <a href=\"http:\/\/www.ehow.com\/how_10855_expose-photo-emulsion.html\">places<\/a> as well), but here is the end result:<\/p>\n<p><img id=\"image230\" src=\"https:\/\/i1.wp.com\/nick.onetwenty.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2006\/12\/pc110068.JPG?w=840\" alt=\"pc110068.JPG\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/p>\n<p>Now <em>that<\/em>&#8216;s a nice screen. Looks great doesn&#8217;t it! Much better detail and much less effort than what we tried before! Keep reading for more photos and descriptions of the actual printing process.<\/p>\n<p><!--more--><\/p>\n<p>We didn&#8217;t have a special table or clamps, so it we had one person hold the frame while the other squeegeed. Before screen printing we put a piece of paper inside the shirts (to stop any paint seeping through to the back of the shirt). It all worked out pretty well:<\/p>\n<p><img id=\"image231\" src=\"https:\/\/i2.wp.com\/nick.onetwenty.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2006\/12\/pc110020.JPG?w=840\" alt=\"pc110020.JPG\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/p>\n<p>We laid the shirts out for the pain to dry. They probably took around half an hour in the sun.<\/p>\n<p><img id=\"image232\" src=\"https:\/\/i1.wp.com\/nick.onetwenty.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2006\/12\/pc110034.JPG?w=840\" alt=\"pc110034.JPG\" data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/p>\n<p>After they are touch dry, the prints are &#8220;heat set&#8221;.
