{"id":686,"date":"2008-10-10T21:48:42","date_gmt":"2008-10-10T13:48:42","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/nick.onetwenty.org\/index.php\/2008\/10\/10\/navalai-river-resort\/"},"modified":"2008-10-10T21:49:19","modified_gmt":"2008-10-10T13:49:19","slug":"navalai-river-resort","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/nick.onetwenty.org\/index.php\/2008\/10\/10\/navalai-river-resort\/","title":{"rendered":"Navalai River Resort"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We&#8217;re in Japan now, but Heidi and I spent the last few days at the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.navalai.com\/\">Navalai River Resort<\/a> in Bangkok.<\/p>\n<p>It&#8217;s on the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Chao_Phraya\">Chao Phraya<\/a> in &#8220;The Old Siam&#8221; area of Bangkok, which is a bit touristy (particularly <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Khaosan_Road\">Khao San Road<\/a>), but with some classy places moving in (such as the Navalai!).<\/p>\n<p>The Navalai website is pretty awesome as well. Everything on it is true. For example, Heidi and I totally did:<\/p>\n<blockquote><p>Enjoy the optimize of the relaxation, the hip design and the desire of the perfection.<\/p><\/blockquote>\n<p>The coolest thing about the location of the hotel was that there was a riverboat station at the back, and it was easy to go down to Sathorn and hop onto the <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Bangkok_Skytrain\">BTS Skytrain<\/a> to head down to Silom or <a href=\"http:\/\/en.wikipedia.org\/wiki\/Siam_Square\">Siam Square<\/a> (where I picked up some cool shirts).<\/p>\n<p>Here&#8217;s a view from our hotel room:<\/p>\n<p><a href='https:\/\/i1.wp.com\/nick.onetwenty.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/10\/dscf0423.JPG' title='dscf0423.JPG'><img src='https:\/\/i1.wp.com\/nick.onetwenty.org\/wp-content\/uploads\/2008\/10\/dscf0423.JPG?w=840' alt='dscf0423.JPG' data-recalc-dims=\"1\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>It was also pretty close to Chinatown and the wedding shop&#8230; which I&#8217;ll post about next. \ud83d\ude09<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>We&#8217;re in Japan now, but Heidi and I spent the last few days at the Navalai River Resort in Bangkok.
